Some noteworthy items from the meeting on July 8.
Consignment letters will be in the mail this week for our October sale. An early consignment deadline of August 1st has been set so that the catalog can be put together and sent to the publisher before the blessed arrival of the Lillie Ann Conover!
We welcomed new members Greg Spaunhorst from Paragould, Arkansas and Steve and Vickilyn Patterson from Cabool, MO.
Our fall sale will feature a new auctioneer. After much discussion and a vote, Al Conover was voted to serve as auctioneer this October. He brings with him years of experience in the cattle business.
Our fall banquet will be held Friday evening, October 18th at the University Extension office in West Plains. A great meal and our annual business meeting will be followed with an auction of items to benefit our junior program. Lots of great stuff….including top quality semen will be offered for auction.
Our next Junior Association show will be September 14 at the West Plains Fairgrounds. All breeds of cattle are eligible to participate. Registration will be at 10:00 am and show will start at 11:00
